What is the rail thermit welding?
The aluminothermic welding (also known as thermit welding) is a method of heating by using a superheated molten metal produced by an exothermic reaction between a metal oxide and a metal aluminum to heat the metal. Rail thermite welding installs the end of the rail with appropriate clearance in the special mold. When the end is preheated to a certain temperature, the high-temperature liquid metal formed by the reaction of the hot agent is injected into the mold to melt the end of the rail to achieve welding.
